Mariah Carey Nick Cannon Twins Names: Will They Get Made Fun Of?
Did you hear that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have finally revealed the names of their twins? Fans everywhere have been asking, “What are Mariah Carey’s twins’ names?”, after she teased followers on Twitter that both names started with the letter “M.”
Drum Roll please…the names of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s twins are…
Moroccan Scott Cannon for the boy, and Monroe Cannon for the girl. Yes, I’m being totally serious.
Why did Mariah and Nick choose these names for their babies, and will they get made fun of as older children?
Let’s look at Moroccan Cannon first. Moroccan Cannon? Really? His name may have special meaning, but it would’ve sounded much better if they’d given him Carey as a last name instead of Cannon. Moroccan Cannon sounds like some sort of high-end vacuum cleaner or something.
The significance in the name “Moroccan” is that that Nick proposed to Mariah in the “Moroccan Room”, which is at the top of Mariah’s NYC apartment.
Monroe isn’t such a bad name for the little girl, but again, it may have sounded cuter with “Carey” at the end, or even “Carey-Cannon.”
Little Monroe is supposedly named after Mariah’s inspiration, Marilyn Monroe.
These names have just been announced, but I’m guessing that we’ll be hearing about them for quite some time.

Courtney commented on May 22 11 at 12:26 pmno it’s not unique at all to honor someone you admire in naming a child. there’s always been strange names in the entertainment industry actor Robert Taylors real name was Spangler one of Stevie Wonders daughters is named Aisha infact the song isn’t she lovely was written for Aisha when she was a baby or Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward’s middle daughter Melissa is named after the first character Joanne ever played on the big screen an orphan girl named Lissy in the 1955 movie Count Three & Pray.

Courtney commented on Jan 15 12 at 3:07 pm@Leah shut up at least the names have meaning to their parents and being named after someone one of your parents admires is pretty normal. @Jensen Mairah & Nick were so protective over the twins because they almost died after they were born 5 weeks prematurely due to all the complications Mariah had carrying them and she almost did too so being protective was a natural reaction
