Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had their twins on Saturday, on their third wedding anniversary. They had said that the twins’ names would be unique, but not totally off the wall.
They had fans guess the “M” names on twitter, but I was beginning to believe they were only looking for baby name ideas! But, the couple finally announced the twins’ names! Ready?
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s baby boy is named Moroccan Scott Cannon. Part of Mariah Carey’s New York apartment is called the Moroccan Room and that is where Nick proposed to Mariah. Scott is Nick’s middle name and his grandmother’s maiden name.
Their baby girl’s name is Monroe Cannon. Marilyn Monroe has been an inspiration to Mariah and she even hinted about her love for the actress. But, most fans guessed Marilyn, not Monroe. Monroe doesn’t have a middle name because Mariah doesn’t have one, either.
I like the name Monroe for their girl- it is unusual, but not strange. I need convinced about Moroccan, though. What do you think about Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s twin names?

Courtney commented on Jan 15 12 at 3:22 pmoh shut up people back off the twins names don’t matter as long as mommy and babies are healthy which they are now but that wasn’t always the case. incase ya’ll forget Mariah had gestational diabetes & toximia among other complications carrying Roc n Roe and they were born 5 weeks premature because of those and ended up in the nicu for breathing problems and hypoglycemia. there’s always been strange names in hollywood and it’s not strange to be named after someone one of your parents admires or to honor their origins as Monroe is. besides there’s been other celebs that have partially named their daughters Monroe Gina Lee Nolan from Baywatch did in 2008 and nobody complained then
