They’re Here! Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Welcome Twins!
They’re finally here! Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon welcomed their twins into the world on Saturday morning at 9:07 a.m. PST in a hospital in Los Angeles.
Carey’s representative, confirmed the births to The Associated Press. She said the the baby girl was born first, weighing in at 5 lbs., 3 oz., and was 18 inches long. Her little brother followed soon after, weighing 5 lbs. 6 oz., and was 19 inches.
The twins couldn’t have picked a better day to make their arrival – it’s also their parent’s 4th wedding anniversary today!
Cannon even had a feeling that today would be the day of the birth; he appeared on The Talk this past Thursday and said: “I’m not trying to be a psychic, but we renew our vows every year so … It’s probably going to be in the hospital this year. I can feel it. We got the minister coming in, so this gown will not be a wedding gown, but a hospital gown.”
No names have been disclosed to the media yet, but Cannon did tell PEOPLE in January that the couple was thinking of uniques, but not crazy, names. “They won’t be crazy names like Carburetor or something, But they’re definitely unique.”
