Royal Wedding Style: The Fabulous Royal Wedding Hats (Pictures)
No one wanted to outshine the bride on her wedding day, so most of the dresses of the Royal Wedding guests didn’t leave much of an impression on me.
But, oh, the HATS! In every shape, size, and color imaginable. I’d love to wear a crazy hat like that, but it’s hard to find an excuse since it’s not like I was invited to the Royal Wedding by Prince William and Kate Middleton. Hmph.
Victoria Beckham’s hat looked like it was just barely perched on her head, with branch-like growths off the top and bottom. Camilla Parker Bowles wore an enormous hat that I would never want to wear- or it could just be that I don’t particuarly care for her, so why should I like her hat?
Plenty of the hats were very matchy-matchy with the chosen outfit: Tara Palmer-Tomkinson in electric blue, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Queen Sofia and Princess Letizia of Spain, and even Queen Elizabeth in her bright and cheery yellow.
Check out the Royal Wedding hat pictures:
I want Princess Letizia’s hat. In case you are wondering, you can check out the tradition of hats at weddings.

robin barnett commented on Apr 29 11 at 9:06 pmI think princess letzia’s hat was classic and comfortable and wouldn’t poke any one’s eyes out or slice off their heads with an extended brim. and it was young and cheerfful, the ones that look like tiny muffins and crem brule’ perched on foreheads are odd and make you worry that they will slide down to the persons nose. The giant ones seem like th person is seeking attention and that is wrong at a wedding as it is the bride and grooms day. if the person sitting next to a lady in a hat, has to practically sit in the asile the hat is too big. but it was fun, a few looked like asian logos from store fronts, others were always moving with feathers and fur, they were interesting. altogether though the hats distracted from the ceremony at least for me.
