Queen Elizabeth Gifts Kate Middleton Her Tiara for the Royal Wedding
When you are marrying a prince, the world wants to see you in a tiara! Because THAT is what princesses wear. But, would Kate Middleton wear a tiara? We waited to see during the royal wedding.
Much to the joy of those of us who still dream of becoming a princess used to dream of becoming a princess when we were little girls, Kate Middleton did wear a tiara. It was a gift from Queen Elizabeth.
Last night, Queen Elizabeth gave Kate Middleton a tiara that she had originally received on her eighteenth birthday. Such a touching gesture. But, I have to wonder if Kate knew that the Queen was going to give her that tiara. I somehow doubt that the night before this all-important day, Kate had no clue as to what kind of headpiece she would be wearing.
But, in any event, it was sweet of Queen Elizabeth to give Kate Middleton a tiara. I would have been so disappointed if the world’s newest princess hadn’t been wearing one!
