Kate Middleton Wedding Dress: Yup, It was by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen (Photos)
After much speculation, the mystery of who designed Kate Middleton’s wedding dress has been revealed. The dress was done by the Sarah Burton. This may not be a household name, but she works for a very important fashion house. Sarah Burton is the creative director of Alexander McQueen, the extremely talented British designer who committed suicide last year.
And the dress? It was far more conservative than most of the gowns that come out of the house of Alexander McQueen, with an ode to antiquity and tradition. It’s long sleeves, moderate train and fitted bodice, were in a way retro, hearkening back to the era of Princess Grace. But being that it was from Alexander McQueen, one would have thought it would have been a wee bit edgier.
What do you think of her dress?
