Kate Middleton Wedding Dress: Fashion Gurus Love Sarah Burton Design!
Kate Middleton Wedding Dress is causing a worldwide fashion sensation and it’s all good! Kate’s wedding gown was designed by Sarah Burton, the creative director of Alexander McQueen.
The positive reaction to the Royal Wedding dress is a victory for the House of Alexander McQueen, the design house that was founded by the British designer who committed suicide last year.
I’m not a fashion expert but if you look at the photos of Princess Grace of Monaco’s wedding dress, I have to believe Sarah Burton used this wedding gown as inspiration.
According to USA Today, Vogue European editor at large Hamish Bowles said Kate Middleton’s wedding dress was a hit:
“I think it’s magnificent. Entirely lived up to and exceeds anyone’s expectations, it’s a marvelous tribute to British design that she would choose Sarah Burton, who’s doing such a sensational job carrying the torch of McQueen’s visionary talent.”
Tim Gunn said that Kate Middleton looked “Ravishing” this morning in her beautiful wedding dress!
Most of the fashionistas are in agreement that Kate’s dress and the wedding dress of Princess Grace are very similar. The wedding dress of Princess Grace when she became Princess Grace of Monaco was also a classic, simple style.
Nearly all of the reaction to Kate Middleton Wedding Dress was favorable! Even on Twitter, there seems to be nothing but praise for Sarah Burton.
