Royal Wedding Program: Marriage Vows Don’t Include “Obey”
Your royal wedding coverage includes the royal wedding program, bursting with all kinds of Prince William and Kate Middleton goodies!
The royal wedding program includes a heartfelt message from William and Kate, details on the ceremony proceedings, and even their vows.
One interesting note on the royal wedding vows – Kate Middleton will not be mentioning “obey,” as is heard in some traditional wedding vows.
Kate Middleton’s vow to Prince William: “I, CATHERINE Elizabeth, take thee, William Arthur Philip Louis, to my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse: for richer, for poorer; in sickness and in health; to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God’s holy law; and thereto I give thee my troth.”
Prince William’s vow to Kate: “WITH this ring I thee wed; with my body I thee honour; and all my worldly goods with thee I share: in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.”
