Ryan Phillippe’s Kids Play Games To Ditch The Paparazzi!
It’s not a secret that the majority of celebrities would really prefer to live their day-to-day lives without being followed around by the paparazzi all the time, though Ryan Phillippe doesn’t seem to mind it.
36 year-old Phillippe recently told People that he and his children, 11 year-old Ava and 7 year-old Deacon, make a game out of getting away from the paparazzi, and he likes the fun and excitement that comes with doing it! “I love drama. The reason I become an actor is because of that.”
So how exactly do they get away from the paparazzi’s flashing cameras? “Sometimes we’ll make it a game…I’ll be like, let’s sneak out the back and so they can’t get a picture of us. We’ll make it a little team effort thing that they can kind of get into.”
Phillipe also says that he and ex-wife Reese Witherspoon make sure the kids understand why the paparazzi are always following them around trying to take their pictures. “Reese and I both do a lot of explaining…I think the best thing you can do for kids in any situation is to over-explain even, and really go into detail and say, okay all they want is a photograph and it’s worth money to them because Mom does movies, Dad does movies.”
Do the kids enjoy all of the extra attention? He says of his daughter: “She’s 11-years-old and she doesn’t want to be photographed and be seen by her friends in magazines all the time.” But his son is a bit different: “My son is a little more carefree that way.”
And based on what Reese Witherspoon recently said about the differences in the kids’ personalities, that really makes perfect sense!
