Jillian michael 200x300 Jillian Michaels Talks About The Adoption ProcessJillian Michaels recently announced she would be leaving The Biggest Loser so that she could adopt a child. Access Hollywood caught up with the fitness guru on Wednesday to talk about her desire to adopt a child, and how the process works.

About the adoption: “I’m making huge progress — I’m actually so excited,” Jillian said to Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.

With no word on where she hopes to adopt from, she goes on to say: “…I’m this much closer and all the paperwork is done. It just needs to go to the various embassies — it’s a godsend.”

With paperwork (almost) out of the way, Michaels hopes to complete the process within the next year!

“Hopefully, I’d love to see it be done in six [months] because then I need to get on a list, and then when you’re on the list, you’ve got to wait for your referral…Then when you get your referral, you’ve got to wait for the countries to process your ability to bring your child home.”

After a long waiting game, she’s glad things are finally moving along. “But it was to the point where the paperwork had taken 10 months…I was about ready to shove my head into a brick wall, and so now, I’m just so excited.”

We wish you luck for a speedy adoption Jillian!
