Joelle Carter of ‘Justified’ Adopts Baby Girl!
38-year-old model turned actress Joelle Carter recently adopted a baby girl! Carter and her husband, Andy Bates, recently adopted an 8-1/2 month old baby girl. They named her Luna Rose.
Carter says that the reason her and her husband adopted was because of unexplained infertility. She recently told parentdish:
“We hadn’t been able to get pregnant and they couldn’t find a reason why. Since there was a time line when we wanted to start a family, for us, we decided to look into adoption.
We found an agency that dealt with open adoption and we liked the idea that she would have a potential relationship with her birth family and not have all of those questions that can come with adoption.”
When asked if they would adopt again, Carter laughs and says: “Yeah, I hope so. We might wait until she is diaper-free so my husband doesn’t remember how hard it was when she was an infant.”
You might know Carter for her character ‘Ava Crowder’ in the critically-acclaimed FX series Justified, which was picked up for a third season. She also had small roles in small roles films like High Fidelity and American Pie 2.
Congratulations to Carter and family!
