Beverly Hills 90210 Star Luke Perry Protests Outside His Kid’s Public School – Why?
It’s a long way from the rich and glamorous Beverly Hills High of 90210 fame.
On Thursday 90210 star of yore Luke Perry joined teachers, parents and students in a protest outside of his children’s school. Why was the TV and film star up early and lending his support of the public Middle School in Sherman Oaks?
Because his 13-year-old son Jack goes there. Perry, along with the other concerned citizens, were there in force to protest recent budget cuts that have hit the school. The group dubbed the day Black Thursday and they all wore black. Luke Perry stated that, “”We’re mourning the fact that we’re going to lose some of our great teachers and some of the great programs these schools have to offer because of the budgetary irresponsibility in Sacramento. What kind of guidance can you really offer under those conditions?”
Perry also has a daughter – age ten – who is no doubt destined to go to that Middle School as well. So there is double the pressure in the Perry family.
