Will Victoria's Secret Fire Candice Swanepoel?
Candice Swanepoel makes me hungry every time I look at her. In a recent photo of her beside fellow Victoria’s Secret models, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Adriana Lima, she looks like a stick figure. She doesn’t have one curve anywhere on her frail little frame.
Will Candice Swanepoel actually be fired by Victoria’s Secret for being too thin? Supposedly her contract with Victoria’s Secret states that she is supposed to appear “healthy and muscular,” two things she most definitely isn’t.
A source close to VS says that they want the models to be voluptuous and adds, “But if you start to look skinny and ‘editorial print-like’ like fashion mag models, like undernourished, it gives the image the company does not want. Their shopper is older, their target is the Macy’s shopper. These are young women who feel pressure these models, she [Swanepoel] could lose her contract if she gets too thin.”
A diet expert estimates that Candice Swanepoel needs to put on at least 15-20 pounds to look healthy again.
