Why Katie Holmes Let Daughter Suri Cruise Have Penis-Shaped Gummies: Give Her a Break!
Katie Holmes and other celeb moms are always being judged for what they do with their kids. Sometimes this criticism is justified and other times, they really do get judged unfairly.
Recently, Katie Holmes’s daughter, Suri Cruise, was photographed holding a box of penis gummy candy. Yes, candy shaped like penises.
Katie explained on The Ellen DeGeneres Show why Suri had those.
Katie Holmes said that Suri grabbed them from a shelf while they were in Serendipity. After mom realized what they were, she didn’t want to make a big fuss about them because she didn’t want Suri to ask what they were.
But, then Suri was photographed with them and that started gossip about how inappropriate it was that Katie Holmes would allow her to have those. But, Katie says that she put them back.
I think this could have happened to any of us and isn’t a big deal. What do you think?

Steph commented on Mar 31 11 at 1:50 pmHave not all mom’s made bad choices about what we let our kids play with at the store? I once let mine carry around a bottle of nail polish (with disastrous results) just so my daughter would not scream the roof down if I took it away from her. The only real difference is that Katie Holmes and her daughter are photographed daily and I am not. It is highly doubtful that Katie bought them for her daughter and if she had made a big deal about making Suri put them down right away she probably would have had to come up with a reason why. Easier to leave it be until you are ready to go and then just tell the child that Mommy is not buying candy for you today. Leave Katie alone. She did what most other mom’s would have done to make as little deal as possible out of the whole thing.

You did perfect, Mom. It’s the GP who should be ashamed of itself. As for me, if this is something a daughter of mine would have done, I’d be tucking the memory in my private closet only to pull out the day she returned from her honeymoon

And about her picking her clothes, i also know little boys that do that. It’s natural. You don’t need to force children do what you want to do, they have their own personalities and she is a cool mum.
