Army Wives Spoilers: Which Army Wife Gets the Bad News Next Week?
Were you as frustrated as I was to watch the latest Army Wives episode only to have it end on such a cliffhanger? From the previews, I really thought we would find out tonight which of the Army Wives lost her husband. Or her son.
Based on the clues in the previews, we can make our best guess as to which of the Army Wives will be crying the hardest during the funeral next week.
The officer who comes to do the notification is a Major. According to military protocol, that officer must be of equal or higher rank than the solider who has been killed. That leaves Trevor, Chase, or Jeremy. The soldiers carrying the casket are all enlisted men, meaning that it cannot be one of the officers, still leaving us with Trevor, Jeremy, or Chase.
Though, you can find all sorts of speculation, like what color pantyhose the women are wearing and that it must be Denise who is handed the flag at the funeral, so it must be Jeremy.

Lindsey commented on Mar 21 11 at 1:36 amIt would have to be Jeremy due to the fact that if it were not than an army wife would be leaving the show cuz she would not be allowed to live on base anymore. Plus Denise seemed to be the most upset when she was home and slid down the door crying.

Meranda could date and marry another army guy in the future. What would Trever’s wife do? I would think the show needs a wedding at the end of the season?
A fan commented on Mar 21 11 at 2:04 amVery valid points and I also thought there was major foreshadowing with Jeremy during the show. BUT military protocal would never send a Notification Team to another persons house which would make it General Holden, if the show is accurate.

If you think about it, none of these women would be apart of the same FRG unless it is a bn FRG which typically happens during deployment from my experience. I think it is frank because they haven’t really touched the issue of soldiers that die over seas before seeing their new born…

Jeremy because of his whole pending marriage, I just had a bad feeling about it when he was on the phone, he seemed so distracted about everything else and only concentrating on his fiancee and his wedding.
Trevor because why else would they have Finn’s Dad back in Roxy’s life ?It can’t be Chase, because that wouldn’t be dramatic enough, I don’t think Chase has really been a big enough part of the show to have something bad happen to him.
Michael or Frank – it can’t be them, because I would just die !!! Especially if it were Frank – I love Frank !!
JAMIE commented on Mar 21 11 at 11:14 amAccording to the seating arrangements at the funeral Roxy and TJ are sitting too far down for it to be Trevors funeral. It has to be Jeremy or Frank because of where Denise and Claudia Joy are sitting.
If the Army knows for a fact where the wife is they will make the notification where they have to.
Armywive4life commented on Mar 21 11 at 11:57 amI have to agree with A Fan, If my recollection of the protocol serves me correctly, Notifiers do not come to anyone’s else home but your own..that is fact. Also viewing the previews for next week, Emmalyn is next to Claudia Joy crying which leads me to believe that its Gen. Michael Holden…well it is just a t.v show and they have been known to bring back the dead on occasions..so we will see.
TANYA commented on Mar 21 11 at 12:49 pmIT WILL HAVE TO BE EITHER JEREMY, FRANK, OR MICHAEL. IN THE FRAME OF THE LADIES AT THE FUNERAL, ROXIE ONLY HAS ONE OF HER CHILDREN WITH HER AND MIRANDA IS ALONE WITH NONE OF HER CHILDREN.
Kim commented on Mar 21 11 at 12:52 pmI was guessing Chase or Jeremy too…….Pamela is already living off base so Chase dying does not effect her having to leave the post. If it’s Jeremy then Denise continues to be an army wife. Besides you can see in a quick clip from the previews that Claudia Joy is walking beside Denise a little ahead of the others, so my best guess is Jeremy. Really aggravated about having to wait again to find out.
LOVE Army Wives commented on Mar 21 11 at 12:57 pmI think it’s Jeremy. Seating has to be Frank Denise Claudia Joy and Emmalyn. The person next to Denise has two bars on the sleeve, has to be Frank. Emmalyn was never close to Trevor or Chase, so she would not come home for them. But Jeremy, She is close to him!

I know this through my training with the FRG grief counselors in the US Army. It’s a TV show though they are not always accurate and I could see them messing up the whole seating thing at the funeral.
clueless commented on Mar 21 11 at 3:02 pmIt is without a doubt Jeremy. Play the previews in slow motion and you can see that the person handed the flag at the funeral is Denise. That means the death is either Jeremy or Frank. But, you can also see that she is sitting next to a man in an officer’s uniform on one side and a woman on the other. So that’s Frank. If Frank died, it would be Jeremy and Jeremy is not an officer. So Jeremy died.
You can also see in the previews of the funeral what appears to be Frank walking behind the procession to the grave.

felicia commented on Mar 21 11 at 3:24 pmThe man who plays Chase is having twins with real life wife Mary Stuart Masterson, and was quoted in a recent interview as saying he would like more off camera time to be home with them, and there is a spinoff being filmed with Gabrielle Union ( the FBI agent) in which rumor has it will star “Pamela Moran” as well, so my guess is Chase….
krista commented on Mar 21 11 at 3:37 pmI doubt it’s general holden — he was the one reading/giving the eulogy they played at during the commercial that is persumably going to be read during the funeral on the show — go back and listen, it’s his voice.

Sad Fan commented on Mar 21 11 at 4:35 pmI believe it is Chase because the the scene last week when Pamela tried to call and he didn’t answer and then it showed them all leaving their cell phones behind. He hasn’t been on much so I figure he was getting ready to leave anyway. I hate to see anyone go, it is such an awesome show and all the characters just fit together so well!!

Emily commented on Mar 21 11 at 9:39 pmI think it is actually LTC Sherwood, because Denise is the one who gets handed the flag, and I understand that there is someone in uniform next to her, but the new blue uniform has the same pants for Officers and Enlisted!! If you play back in slow motion the previews for next week where they are walking behind the casket, it is Claudia Joy and Denise in the front! The next row is TJ, Roxy, Pamela, Emmalin, and to the farther right it appears like Jeremy in uniform and then behind him to the left it appears to be a female in uniform with Jeremy’s fiances look to it. Rowland and Joan are behind near Roxy and Pamela… So, that is what leads me to think it is LTC Sherwood, but the second person that I would have to say is Jeremy… And I hope it is neither~!!!! Grrrr…. Why did they have to leave it like they did!!! Frustrating!!
Jennifer commented on Mar 21 11 at 10:42 pmAll these points are valid. I saw Emmalyn at the funeral and immediately thought Gen. Holden – however, that would take Caludia Joy off the show entirely. And that would defeat the purpose of the show. The poster that said Emmalyn would come home for Jermey’s funeral has a good point – given that he dated Amanda and turned to Emmalyn after she died. I still think (and hope, only because I love all the other characters too much too see one go) that it is Chase. To JillyBean, yes, they would never give a flag to the ex-wife, but they would give it to his son (children).

April commented on Mar 22 11 at 11:03 amAfter reading all the posts, I think it is Jeremy also. Keep in mind that Denise had to move in with CJ because her hot water heater broke and that is why the came to her house and besides Emmalyn will be there if it was Jeremy

Pamela is sitting by Rox and Em…and Pam would not bring her kids to their dad’s funeral. I know Em would be at Jeremy’s funeral because they were friends….and he was distracted after getting that call from his fiancee’ about calling off the wedding. Makes sense. I think they want you to think its Chase….cause it makes the most sense…but Jeremy makes sense too. And they were talking about having a spin-off with Pam’s character, its not set in stone or anything. So who knows if thats really going to happen, its all talk right now. And just because the guy who plays Chase….Jeremy is having twins means nothing…he still has to put food on the table right? All these thoughts are messing with our brains. They want you to think one thing, and it be another. Just like we all thought we would know last week, and now we have to wait another week to see who died. Its going to be sad and make me cry either way.

my guess is... commented on Mar 22 11 at 6:10 pmit’s Chase–I checked the internet movie database and his tenure unlike the other husbands is listed ending in 2010. also, the children wouldn’t be sitting in the back with pamela, they would be up front with Chase’s family — i.e. mother and father considering they are divorced.

2 Cents commented on Mar 22 11 at 10:59 pmI’m not even interested in the funeral line up or what clothes they had on etc. If it were Chase, why aren’t his children with Pamela? Although alot state he’s in a later episode…well he still could be dead and be in a later epsiode, like if someone was remembering him. But, still don’t think it’s Chase. If it were Trevor, again why is Phinn not with Roxie? But, they try and throw you by easing Whitt in the picture. Still, don’t think it’s him tho. I don’t think it’s Frank either because and I’m not 100% sure but sounds alot like his voice saying “ready, aim, fire” Which brings point IF that’s Frank’s voice, he wouldn’t say that if it were his own son dead. Surely, they’d get someone else to do that. Not sure where that leaves me but Michael. Not positive it’s him either. Again, they’re easing Professor/Lawyer in to fool ya. We’ll know soon!
My guess is 2 commented on Mar 22 11 at 11:51 pmIt’s probably Jeremy because of the whole thing about Claudia Joy and her new boss sharing a moment about losing a child and how it never leaves you. I thought that was totally random, but it could have been setting us up for Denise to lose Jeremy. And then blame his girlfriend for upsetting him.

They would not go to the Holden home to deliver the death to the other wives. The military would not be aware a wedding shower was taken place and all the wives were at the Holdens home. Taking into an acct. the military info shared by others, That an enlisted or major was delivering the info, this would leave Jeremy. Assuming Denise lives next door to the Holdens.
Caitlin commented on Mar 23 11 at 7:49 amIf it says “Claudia Joy is haunted by the memory of Amanda,” this says to me that it’s Jeremy because his death at such a young age would not only remind her of her loss of Amanda, but Jeremy was Amanda’s first love so that would trigger that as well.
I DON’T WANT TO LOSE ANY OF THE MEN. :(
Jessica commented on Mar 23 11 at 5:52 pmMy thought is if it were Jeremy or Frank, either one of them would have been at the funeral but with that being said, if you listen to the guy giving the gun salute order, it sounds an awful lot like Frank, also, why wouldn’t they show the guys face ya know?
But, in the book it is Jeremy that dies so, I do think that it is him.

Plus Pamela’s already living off base, she’s supposed to be doing that spin-off with Gabrielle Union if it’s a go, and what better story than an x who’s trying to rekindle just as he’s killed in the line?
As for realism, this show has never had it (mad bomber at the Hump Bar?), so I wouldn’t read into the notification team coming to Claudia Joy’s house.

Jeremy has his fiance…..why introduce a character then kill off the reason she was brought on? She would have no reason to stick around after the funeral………..ahh, unless she gets postedto their base??? OK, its probably Jeremy.

I had a feeling it was going to Jeramey because Denise and Frank just had a baby girl. The other girl was brought in to throw all of us off. His death is going to have a big impact on the show and there is going to be a lot of things changing.

Pam is a better person away from himJeremy deserves to be happy and so does Denise… I love frank and him being kinda gruff. Tevor is a a-hole to Roxy and I hope she goes back to Finn’s dad. They need to bring Jeremy back and have Denise wake up from a bad dream…
