Jennifer Lawrence lands Katniss Everdeen role in The Hunger Games
I absolutely cannot wait for The Hunger Games movies! Twilight fans, don’t hate, but I loved this series so much more than Twilight. It’s a toss up as to whether The Hunger Games or Harry Potter are the better series for me.
It was rumored that Alex Pettyfer was being offered the role of Peeta. Though, don’t get all up in arms about it yet- that is still just a rumor. I watched him in Beastly this past weekend and while I actually enjoyed the movie, I couldn’t help but think that he is so not Peeta!
Now, for the role of Katniss Everdeen, our girl heroine of The Hunger Games.
Reports arethat Jennifer Lawrence, who starred in Winter’s Bone, will play Katniss Everdeen.
The Hunger Games is scheduled to debut in theaters on March 23, 2012, so the cast needs to get set pretty soon!

But she’s not a freaking model. She’s Katniss Everdeen from District 12. It’s just…it just gets to me. And no. This isn’t even close. Why don’t they understand that we want a fresh face? A new actress no one’s seen or heard? Someone that actually LOOKS like Katniss. Long, dark hair. Olive skin. Average, average, average. Hollywood. I freaking swear.
