George Clooney1 215x300 George Clooneys Ides Of March Filming in Cincinnati (Video)I recently told you about George Clooney’s new thriller, Ides of March, and the crew recently took Cincinnati by storm! With a crew of 150 filming the movie for twenty days in greater Cincinnati, that’s a lot of money being poured in to the economy.

Just how much? According to reports, about five or six million dollars. Says one local of Cincinnati, “…if you look at bed nights, hotel rooms, it’s like a convention coming to town.”

The cast and crew even enjoyed some of the local attractions while there. Ryan Gosling, who plays Governor Mike Morris’ press aide in the political drama, went  face to face with an okapi at the Cincinnati Zoo! The Cleopatra exhibit at the Cincinnati Museum Center, the Art Museum, Graeters and Skyline Chili also welcomed the film’s team. Ides of March cast and crew also spent a lot of time and money at First Café on Third Street, after shooting a scene for the movie.

To see a local news report about what a great financial impact Ides of March filming had on the city, you can check out the clip below.
