I would like to say “Thank You”. I have been watching the show since it started last year and just love it! I think you guys are all great and “down to earth”. I have always wanted to know more about plural marriages and how they actually work in modern day and your show has answered some of those questions. While I know it is not for me, I do appreciate your show and what you are trying to do. Its nice to see modern people just trying to make a life with their family. Unlike some of the other fundamentalists who wear white long dresses and bonnets and cower to the man, you all are actually smart, funny ladies who work together to make things work. If our society wants us to accept same sex marriages and single parents, then I think its about time that we accept plural marriages. Keep up the great job and I can’t wait for Season two to get going!

Man..I have to say “You guys ROCK”. Kody you are a beautiful man & your goddesses (strong, beautiful & powerful women) what can I say about them -nothing short of AMAZING. The strong family ties that you have displayed is so awe inspiring. In a world full of sadness, violence and uncertainty – to look at all of you – I feel inspired. I’m inspired to be strong, take a stand, unite as a human being and as one of GOD’S children and most of all to just LOVE. I myself am not a polygimist but would love to join the possy (maybe you wouldn’t notice…lol). I just finished watching the season 2 premiere (DVR every episode) and caught myself getting choked up a few times. I feel like I’m in this fight with you. Meri, I just wanted you to know how strong and beautiful you are (first sharing your husband with your now sister wives and 2nd for sharing your family with the world (takes moxy). Janelle you are so brave and beautiful – I saw your hesitation, worries about announcing outloud your lifestyle, but the way you held your head high, can I say inspiring – YOU GO GIRL. Christine, what can I say, beautiful, and the way you spoke about “hopefully people just seeing who you are as a family” not only brought a tear to my eye, it made me realize that you are a voice to a lot of scared people. Robyn you are a beautiful & welcoming addition to the Brown family – for you to keep in the closet all these years and to finally come out, it made me realize, you are making people stop & think – HOW BEAUTIFUL IS THAT. Cody what do you say to a guy that has everything (4 great wives, 16 beautiful gifts from GOD – I’m still learning everyones name – Kisses to Truly) except ” your doing a great job in life, stay strong, keep the faith and most of all – LOVE your family always. Well I’ve chatted my first blog ever and it was fun….I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched out of curiosity and you all just shine with love and caring and normal everyday conflict. I am not religious never have been but I see your faith works so well for you, and the children are awesome! I have always thought that multiple wives or even husbands would make stronger families but not many people share this thought. Be happy and hang in there!

You have to ask yourself how can one man convince himself and four women and their so called plural children that they are a well adjusted happy family living in an imaginary ideological bubble of rainbows viewing life through skewed smoke colored glasses-they can’t. The sad reality here is that this isn’t a happy well adjusted family with only one dad, one mom & two to four kids living in a rural community where they are welcomed by all, but in fact, just a sad, skewed opposite reality. This so called plural family which makes up the Brown family is far from a well adjusted happy family unit but more of a dysfunctional unit of one mother, one father and three mistresses along with 16 confused children who believe that living a sinful life of covetous is a just and right when in fact the Brown’s very lifestyle not only spits in Gods’ face, but stomps on his commandments of thou shall not covet thy neighbor, thou shall not commit adultery which is what the Browns have done here with their so called polygamist plural family lifestyle which is an insult of the highest form to god in every respect.

Aside for the religious ramifications there are the ethical, Moral and social ramifications of living a polygamists’ lifestyle. Not only is polygamy morally wrong but it is also ethically wrong as well. Ethically speaking, a polygamy lifestyle teaches that ethics have no place in the world. A polygamy lifestyle teaches that it is alright to flaunt the laws that the united states has set up by a man taking more than one woman as a wife in an acting of committing polygamy while at the same time hiding behind the religion card in an attempt to avoid trouble and problems to live outside of the law any way a polygamist sees fit too.

Morally, the confused brown children are being taught by Mr.Brown-the man they call their father and his so called wives that it is alright not to be loyal, there is no such thing as love, it is acceptable to keep a harem of women, women are property, objects as well as slaves to be used and tossed aside when these children’s father is bored and tired of his concubines-he calls wives. Mr. Brown is also teaching his sixteen children that morally it is alright to manipulate women, brainwash them into believing that they can’t stand on their own two feet, but that they are slaves subject to the whims of a manipulative male father figure.

Socially, a polygamists’ life style doesn’t take into account the social stigma as well as often negatively being socially osterized which is often placed on children of a polygamist lifestyle. There are many. many, emotional problems which often occur within a polygamy based family unit and it’s children. Many women and men whom decide to become polygamists often have severe emotional problems even developing healthy meaningful adult peer to peer relationships.
Many of the men and women who decide to become polygamists often suffer from a lack of self esteem and lack self worth which often leads them to living outside of the norms of society and forming subcultures such as polygamist plural, dysfunctional units of emotionally stunted warped values and
concepts which are often passed on to their confused children who suffer over the long run for their polygamists’ parents poor choices and immoral value sets.

The Browns with their emotionally scarred, dysfunctional, warped sense of morals are the last people to be advising anyone one to consider polygamy as a way of life-that is just messed up in every respect. I feel that the State of Utah is doing the right thing by investigating the Brown family for committing bigamy. Not only are The Browns guilty of polygamy but they are definately guilty of bigamy as well and should be held accountable by the State of Utah’s Attorney General for spitting on U.S. laws against committing polygamy and bigamy.

Hopefully, the brown children will be placed in the right environment where they can finally understand, learn and know what a healthy family unit is like rather than living in a free love commune with a hippy, male father figure operating a harem and calling his concubines-wives.

All I have to say is “Y is for Wyoming” thanks to wife #4. Lol. It’s a good thing they are sending the kids to public school this year.
How come there is never a mention of how much money TLC is paying the Brown family? They say they are barely making it but then take on 4 more mouths to feed with no plan. Robyn wants the other wives to “see her worth”…I’m sorry but that dosen’t fix the car or pay the rent.
It is so evident that lack of self esteem and immaturity has caused Kody to live outside cultural norms .
So much flexing of muscles and fluffing his hair…not to mention the Harley and sports car. Don’t get me started…Cody is a pig!
