Remembering Mike DeStefano: Last Comic Standing Finalist Passes Away
Friends and family of Mike DeStefano are no doubt remembering his life today, as he has passed away after having a heart attack. Mike DeStefano was a finalist on Last Comic Standing last year. He finished in fourth place in the Season 7 comedy competition.
Mike DeStefano battled drug use up until he was about 31 years old, when he turned to comedy as another outlet. He had recently done a stage show called Drugs, Disease, and Death: A Comedy. He based the show on his past drug use, and also the passing of his wife and the fact that he was HIV positive.
The producer of the show released a statement on Twitter saying, “We’ll be talking about it later. Sorry if we’ve ignored the e-mails and text messages. Mike became a brother to us. We love him.”
Our thoughts are with Mike DeStefano’s family during this difficult time.

A stand up comic and a stand up guy. Mike rest in peace, you touched every one that got to know you. You will be missed very much.
