Remembering Hall Of Fame Dodger Duke Snider
Hall of Famer Duke Snider who is best known for helping the Brooklyn Dodgers win their only World Series died this Sunday at age 84.
Snider had been ill for months and died of natural causes. The former Dodger passed away at the Valle Vista Convalescent Hospital in Escondido, Calif., said the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, which announced the death on behalf of the family.
Snider had 407 career home runs, 1,481 runs scored, and one of only two major leaguers with over 1,000 RBI during the 1950s.
