James Franco and Anne Hathaway will co-host the Oscars

James Franco and Anne Hathaway have teamed up to co-host the Academy Awards.

Although their routine has been a closely guarded secret, they are reportedly set to perform a number from hit film Grease at the Oscars.

Franco let out a hint about performing the famous song from the film, “You’re the one that I want”  and posted a 19-second clip on YouTube.  The video appears to be rehearsals for the big number.  Watch the video below!

Although they are unlikely co-hosts, Franco and Hathaway are young and will hopefully bring fresh and youthful air to the Oscars, which can be quite old school.  Franco is 32, Hathaway is 28.

Oscar organizers hope that the younger movie-goers will tune in to this year’s Academy Awards and see a version of themselves reflected on the stage.

In recent years, Oscar hosts have generally been older…  last year, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin co-hosted.  Other years we’ve seen Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Crystal, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart.

So it’s definitely refreshing to see some young blood on stage hosting!  And it doesn’t hurt that both Franco and Hathaway are stunning!
