James Franco & Anne Hathaway: Boring Hosts For Oscars 2011?

Anne Hathaway and James Franco are hosting the Oscars 2011 this Sunday, and there’s the potential that they might be the two most boring hosts in the history of the Academy Awards.

James Franco and Anne Hathaway seemed to be unlikely choices to host the Oscars from the get-go, but they may prove to be an even bigger disappointment than what was originally thought. Watch the video clip below for the promo of Anne Hathaway and James Franco hosting the Oscars 2011…it’s kind of a snorefest.

In a recent interview with James Franco, Anne Hathaway said that they have no intentions of bringing anything funny into the mix as Oscar co-hosts. Her words were, ”I can guarantee that if you’re looking for someone to call people out, we’re not your hosts.”

Hathaway also added, “I think that humor is really difficult to pull off, and I’m not particularly adept at it. I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it. Also, I don’t mean to sound overly serious, but I am the youngest host in history and I have no business being cynical or calling anyone out. I certainly haven’t earned the right to do that.”

If Anne Hathaway’s comments are any indication of how the Academy Awards 2011 are going to go down, let’s just hope that the dresses are more interesting to watch than the actual show.
