Is Amanda Knox Really Guilty?

The Amanda Knox story will no doubt be on viewer’s minds tonight as the Amanda Knox movie is premiering on Lifetime at 9:00pm ET. Hayden Panettiere is playing the role of Amanda Knox in the film.

People can’t help but be captivated by the story of Amanda Knox, the unassuming looking American student who found herself in the middle of a murder trial while abroad. She was sentenced to 26 years in prison after the death of her flatmate, Meredith Kercher, but is Amanda Knox really guilty?

Amanda Knox insists that she was at her boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito’s apartment when the murder occurred, but later told police that she was in the kitchen of the flat she shared with Kercher when she was killed. Police became suspicious after Sollecito claimed that he did not know where Knox was during the crime. Amanda Knox’s story got even more interesting when she said that she made the confession under duress from the police.

What really happened to Meredith Kercher on the night of November 1st, 2007 may never be known, but the courts in Italy did convict Amanda Knox even though there was some conflicting evidence in the case. Do you think Amanda is guilty?

I do not think this poor girl committed this crime. I mean come on she couldn’t of did that alone. The Italian court system needs some serious improvement. If someone is pressing you in a interrogation room for 13 hours you may screw up your story too. I don’t understand how they can convict on some drug dealers word. What is happening to this American girl is a crime and somebody should help her!!!

Amanda Knox is guilty–and she’s really weird, too. Mostly, it’s very difficult for us to accept such behavior in a female, but I firmly believe this gal was involved (at least to a reasonable extent) with that brutal murder. She’s a fake.

I DONT THINK SHE SHOULD OF BEEN GUILTY HER SNA WAS FOUND BECAUSE SHE LIVES IN THE DOORM ROOM THERE WAS NOT ALOT OF EVEDINCE PEOPLE WAZ ASKING HER ?S FOR 13HRS WOUDNT YOU DO ANYTHING TO GET OUT OF THERE PLUS THEY WENT ON THE WORD OF A DRUG DEALER SHE PROBELY WAS THERE WHEN IT HAPPENED BUT SHE DIDNT DO THEY PROBELY MADE HER WHATCH AS THEY KILLED HER BEST FRIEND I HONESTLY THINK SHES INNOCENT AND SHOULD BE LET LOOSE

I have taken some criminal justice ( in investigative principles) classes and earned a certificate and the knowledge I do have; there is no way she could have cleaned up only her dna in merediths room and not Rudy DNA. I believe that Amanda is innocent. Of course she acted in ways that people thought were odd but everyone has their own different personalities and you never know how u may act when you are in that situation. Amanda never had a chance once they got the thought that it was her they never let go. Evidence cannot be passed around without becoming contaminated which is what happened. I believe that Rudy killed her and it may have been an accident that’s why he covered her up and tried to clean up. We will never truly know what exactly happened but I believe that Amanda and her ex deserve a fair trial and all the evidence before needs to be thrown out because it was contaminated and the knife they found there is no way it was the murder weapon. There would have been more cells on there and also there would have been traces of blood. This whole case seems framed to me

Now I may just be a teenager but i have been folowing this story for the simple fact that i believe that Amanda Knox isn’t guilty of the crime that she has been convicted of. I think the the Italian Court System is seriously screwed up. I dont want to be offensive toward italians because i think italians are very facinating people. However their court system needs to be improved majorly. I think the only reason they found her dna on any of the evidence is because she lived in that house.OF COURSE YOU WOULD FIND HER DNA, SHE LIVED THERE. And to Meredith Kercher’s family, i am terribly sorry for your loss. But I absolutly DO NOT believe that Amanda Knox Could have done it.

i don’t think amanda knox is guilty.. Amanda was smacked on the back of the head and they planted things into her mind so she wud admit to it! and yes they found a few blood cells on the knife.. and like the one girl jennifer said she LIVED THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! come on italy.! get real! seriously.. now im not sayin i am against what happened…… but i am sorry for they’re loss. i am.. but amanda shudnt be convicted for something she didnt do.

Amanda Knox is NOT GUILTY. This is a frame up if I have ever seen it.

Norma Nephew commented on Feb 27 11 at 3:53 pm

GUILTY. She’s a sneaky, spoiled Daddy’s girl. Oh, my, this poor little thing just simply could not have done that. Wake up folks. Those are the exact type that do crap like this. If the spoiled snot were kept here to “study” that poor girl would be alive today. Silver spoon fed from birth. Mommy and Daddy created that devil now let them wah, wah about it. Deal with what you created!!

Guilty of something!
You don’t change your story multiple times if your telling the truth.
If I was getting interrogated I would comply with anything the police wanted as long as it proved my innocence. Their is something odd about this girl.

NOT GUILTY, THIS IS A WAY OF RIPPING OFF AMERICAN DOLLARS. PARENTS SEND YOUR KIDS TO AMERICAN SCHOOLS.

This whole story doesn’t make any sense, why was she interogated for so long without a lawyer present, different laws over there? Why did she say someone else did it that wasn’t even there I guess after being interogated for 13 hours you would be tired and mentally exhausted and say anything they wanted. The problem there is she implemented someone that wasn’t even there, why? Think Rudy accidently killed her having rough sex and Amanda and her boyfriend were there and Rudy and the boyfriend tried ot cover it up as a break in? Theres no hard evidence againest this girl and she should be sent home to her family. You think after she had some rest and talked to her lawyer if she was involved in anyway or was there she would give up what really happenned so she could go home. I hope they find her not guilty at her appeal and she can go home to her family and friends. The movie made her look like she didn’t even care that her roomate was murdered but its a movie we don’t know if thats really true maybe she was in shock everyone deals with things differently.

I cannot imagine the pain Amanda’s parents, grandparents, etc. are in!!!! I think she is innocent…but stay in our own country is the safest!! As a grandma, I have to say, I hope my grandkids stay in North America for watever.!!

carol stewart commented on May 08 11 at 11:42 pm

I think she is most definitely guilty. Her DNA was found on what was believed to be the murder weapon, and her footprints were found in the room. Nobody wants to think she’s guilty because she’s just an American kid in a foreign country but I don’t believe her act.

Arza Have u ever been interrogated for 13hrs I THINK NOT SO HOW DO YOU KNOW YOUR STORY WOULD NOT CHANGE YOUR STORY I HAVE BEEN INTERROGATED IT IS HORRIBLE YOU DO NOT EVEN KNOW I THINK THEY FOUNF HER GUILT BECAUSE ITALY GOVERENMENT DID NOT WANT TO AMIT THAT THERE COURT SYSTEM IS MESSED UP.
