Sarah Ferguson Snubbed From Royal Wedding.

Call it the “royal snub” as the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, is not invited to the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Ferguson is ex-wife to Prince Andrew (William’s paternal uncle). And while they split back in 1996, Ferguson and Andrew continued to raise their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenia, as single parents.

But with 1,900 royal invitations going out, should Ferguson be offended by the snub?

According to People.com, her rep confirms that Ferguson plans to be overseas in late April, and calls the snub no surprise: “She will not be attending. She never expected to be invited.”

Did you expect Sarah Ferguson to get invited to the royal wedding?

Why should she be invited! Under normal situations like this the ex is generally not invited to a non blood related niece or nephew’s wedding. Why is there such a fuss about this? I’m sure she never expected to be invited. I think the press needs to grow up a bit on some issues. Or is it they are having a slow news week and need to stir up the pot a bit. Get a grip on reality.

I think that because she was such a close friend to Prince Charles’ mother Diana – and also that she was the closest auntie while they were young…..that Fergie should have been at least invited (when she chooses to attend or not) over the New Zealand Prime Minister!!
The Royal family operated in a difficult way sometimes. I understand the Obamas not being invited as they were not a Commonwealth country….since 1700′s that is!! But she was cozy with them just a year ago! They are basically rude and arrogant – then the British created them didn’t they!

Its only one person,I think they should at least send out a courtesy Invite. After all she and Prince Andrew did bring up the kids together and were not on fighting terms. If I were princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, I would be upset that while they and their dad were invited, their mother was not.

I agree, she was definitley a big part of the kids life when they were younger, however, as with anyone elses wedding, it is really up to the bride and groom – the rest of us will just have to get over it :)

Not in a million years. After what she tried to do to that family. She is lucky they didn’t take her title away. The only reason she was sorry is because she got cought plain and simple. She has no loyalty. She had Prince Andrew’s children. She would be willing to sell info about there father, shameful. If I were her a would find a rock to climb under.

The only disappointment I have in William and Kate is that they did not rise above pettiness and make this an entire family occasion, bury the hatchett as they have for everyone else (including the mistress Camilla) and invite Fergie. At least she got an honest divorce from Andrew and stayed on good terms with him. Camilla, on the other hand, did her level best to break up the marriage of Charles and Diana and did a grand job of pretending to be the mother of the groom today when, in reality, she is a common wh–e. Sorry Will and Kate…you let me down.
