The Bachelor girls a good choice for Sports Illustrated Swimsuite 2011?

On last night’s episode of The Bachelor, we saw three of the girls get to do a shoot for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011 issue.

It’s typical of The Bachelor: girls running around scantily clad and hanging all over The Bachelor. But, it also seems like an odd choice to feature them in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2011 issue.

Isn’t it mostly women who watch The Bachelor? And mostly men who buy the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue? Or maybe I’m just making this assumption based on gender stereotypes that aren’t even correct, but it certainly feels right.

I’m sure the men don’t care that much where the women are coming from – just that they’re hot women in bathing suits.

Sounds like a smart move on the side of Bachelor. Draw in more viewers.
