Serene Branson’s Scary Grammy Moment (Video)
News reporter Serene Branson suffered a scary moment during last night’s Grammy Broadcast for CBS 2 in Los Angeles. In the middle of her Grammy Award introduction, she apparently suffered a stroke that left her confused and struggling to find the words she needed to continue speaking.
It all started out simple enough with Serene launching into her intro, but quickly turned into pure gibberish in the only-on-live-tv moment which has now gone viral thanks to the Internet. Thankfully Serene Branson’s moment of confusion was short and the station turned to pre-recorded coverage. She was taken to the hospital after the incident and reportedly treated for having a stroke.
The entire incident can serve as a lesson to us all of signs to watch for a stroke. Symptoms of a stroke include:
- Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
- Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
- Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
- Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
- Sudden, severe headache with no known cause
Our thoughts are with Serene Branson and we hope she makes a full recovery.
