Chris Brown on ‘SNL’ Means It’s Cool to Abuse Women? Thanks Lorne Michaels!

rihanna beating face 226x300 Chris Brown on SNL Means Its Cool to Abuse Women? Thanks Lorne Michaels!Chris Brown on Saturday Night Live tonight sends a big message to American women!  The producers of SNL are telling us that beating a woman is no big deal and that abuse is even COOL. Way to go Lorne Michaels! Thanks for sending the message to my two teenage daughters that guys who beat the crap out of their girlfriends are cool.

Chris Brown was convicted of beating the holy crap out of Rihanna. There is still a RESTRAINING ORDER on Chris Brown, to keep him away from the singer.  This is a guy who beat a woman he “loved” enough brute force to potentially “result in death and great bodily injury”! Just two years later, this man is being honored on Saturday Night Live, which sets the standard for what’s popular in our media driven culture?  Why is there not more outrage over Brown’s appearance on SNL?

Chris Brown may be a talented artist but he’s a convicted abuser of women—with a court-order restraining order in place—and Saturday Night Live is featuring him as a guest star? Really? Did Lorne Michaels READ the police report from the night Brown beat Rihanna?

According to the LAPD police report, which was published on TheSmokingGun:

“Brown sought to push Rihanna out of his rented Lamborghini during an argument, and banged her head against the car’s passenger window. He then allegedly punched her repeatedly and warned, ‘I’m going to beat the shit out of you when we get home! You wait and see!’”

“Bloodied, Rihanna reportedly then called her assistant Jennifer Rosales and left a message asking the aide to call police. Brown responded, the affidavit notes, by saying, ‘You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I’m really going to kill you!’”

Go to the SmokingGun website if you can stomach reading the entire police report.  The guy in the police report is being honored on TV tonight.

Why isn’t anyone protesting or even bothered by Chris Brown being featured on Saturday Night Live?

Everyone deserves a second chance. what he did was the most awful thing any one can to do to a spouse other then rape or murder, but he has asked for forgivness and has done everything to redeem himself. We have to remember he was 19 years old when he did this, still prity much a kid. I remember how immature I was at the age of 19.
If Rihanna can forgive him and move on, we can do the same…

Charlie Sheen holding a knife to his wife’s head and kickin Denise Richard’s in the stomach while pregnant does the same. But yet he is still on tv and has his career so Chris Brown deserves the same opportunity so get over it! “Why isn’t anyone protesting or even bothered by Chris Brown being featured on Saturday Night Live?….same reason why they aren’t protesting Charlie Sheen’s show!

Are you serious? No its not cool to abuse a woman. why are you bad-naming Lorne Michaels? Chris Brown is NOT a convicted abuser of WOMEN. Get your facts straight. He beat ONE girl ONCE!!! Chris is extremely sorry for what he has done and clearly you don’t see that. Rihanna has enough courage to forgive him; and since she has, the rest of the world should to. Well then again, majority of the world already has forgive him; its just people like you who don’t know how to move on just like life does.

Btw Michelle Lamar you need to get a life and stop trying to stir up controversy by posting Rihanna’s picture! If you cared so much about Domestic Violence and not trying to stir up controversy you wouldn’t post a picture that hurts Rihanna who never authorized it to be published and stated that she was devastated when it was leaked. Rihanna and Chris have moved on with their lives and so should everyone else!

It is this type of article that holds America back. Where is forgiveness today? Why are americans so angry? Why can’t we hold each up instead bringing one another down? Why can’t we read articles on how to help domestic violence victims and their perpetrator? Why is it when someone gives a person a chance, there must be a negative source reminding him of his fault or even questioning the actions of said person? I don’t understand people with cold hearts. I’m always thinking positive about people and trying to encourage them. I support Chris Brown and pray for his mind! I support Rihanna and pray for her mind! I’m going to pray for this author and pray that she is not teaching her daughters to have a black heart. I know what this young man did to this young woman was tragic, and I’m not making any excuses. We must forgive, learn, love and move on! Write newsworthy articles and stop promoting negativity!

Im sorry but I am sadly against this because there are other people on television that should very well be chased by a pitchfork mob. Matter of fact real people too. So Im getting the message from this discussion to get a pitchfork and jolt it at somebody for doing something I didnt like for a couple of months or a couple of years. If people stopped criticizing the people that DONE it, and do something about people that DO it currently, the world would be a better place. While she wasted her time criticizing this guy, somebody was being shot, somebody was being punched, somebody was on their deathbed, somebody was given a sexual disease, something was going on that somebody could have stopped or help prevent. People, we have to stop trying to hurt people who done it and take care of the people who are doing it because those are the ones who are actually DOING something wrong. Its been two years guys. Even rihanna has let him off the restraining order….what is her problem? she wasnt the one beat up.

Dear Article Writer…….

You are a JERK!! MOVE ON. Even God forgave the sinner….AMAZING!!!

Schelle commented on Feb 12 11 at 10:25 pm

@Star I agree! This is what Rihanna stated to another “second rate blogger” trying to start controversy to make a name for themselves “@SandraRose I would’ve sworn he beat YOUR ass, just by how upset u are! My fans don’t care abt a restraining order and neither do I! My bad!”. Sounds like she needs to check Michelle Lamar and her second rate blog as well!

The most retarded fucking article I`ve ever read. There are plenty of woman-beating, drug-abusing, criminal-celebs on television that I don`t see you, or any other media talking about. The incident with Chris Brown happened like 2 years ago. He made a mistake, payed the price, and found success again. Honestly, no one gives a shit about this any more. Rihanna, and the rest of the world has moved on. So should you.

STFU commented on Feb 13 11 at 3:37 am

Why the hell is this man still the most hated person in the world. Im starting to think people just hate him because he abused his “famous girlfriend” and not because he commited a crime. For a so called “Women Beater”, he’s done more to donate and help other women who going through domestic abuse than you or anyone else who still is dwelling on this BS. Move on and get a REAL JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Abuse is Abuse period. It shouldn’t be adsaturated because its againts the opposite sex. No one deserves to be harmed. And for Rihanna being beat half to death, she’s doing good and better then before and she wish the same for her Ex.

Rihanna doesn’t even care anymore. I mean, she even tweeted that people care more than she does. You mad?

Ann Moore commented on Feb 13 11 at 4:08 am

MICHELLE LAMAR maybe Rihanna needs to tweet you what she tweeted Sandra Rose. Woman get a life and move the f*ck on everyone else in the world was. I don’t see you being this outraged over Eminem and Charlie Sheen. I guess it’s a matter of color right?

Ashley commented on Feb 13 11 at 4:43 am

p.s also putting that picture of Rihanna up is disrespectful to her and a person that continues talking about abuse and whatnot for you to even display that picture shows you have no respect for DV or abuse victims. You just want to be outraged against Chris Brown just to be hate him. If you cared at all about abuse you would have NEVER put that picture up.

Ashley commented on Feb 13 11 at 4:46 am

Well, michelle Lamar, u can protest alone,
Chris brown didn’t murder anyone, yes what he did was wrong,
But america and the rest of the world is tired of hating on chris brown,
Michelle I know u NEVER sin before, but WE believe in SECOND CHANCE,
Oh and keep on hating on chris brown, Rihanna will get u.

lu commented on Feb 13 11 at 9:00 am

If you cared so much for Rihanna, you would not post her picture. Chris Brown was 19 at the time. Do you plan are having him never sing again on tv? He has done all the court has asked and did it great according to the judge. I have forgiven Chris a long time ago. My dad abused my mom and he never said he was sorry and to this day blames her for her abuse. Chris will not be a women beater. He did it once and has completed treatment. What do you want from him? Who made you judge and jury? I used to come to this site but never again.

leslie commented on Feb 13 11 at 9:18 am

Ms. Lamar, Are you aware of the drug-infested atmosphere the Lorne Michael allowed on SNL for the past 20 or so years? There is a book you can find on Amazon that cite many former actors confirming drug abuse was openly permitted as long as the ratings were great amongst the crew and writers.
So SNL has NEVER been a beacon of morality. Entertainers like Chris Brown are just here to entertain and nothing further. I was raised to be admire the people within my own family and not celebrities who can’t see in their own family or home.

I understand that we have to do a better job of combating DV but the way to do that is to encourage people to have healthy relationships themselves and volunteer at their local DV agency and talk to teenagers like your daughters and sons about what does a healthy relationship look like. There is no “Hollywood” relationship that represents what I would want any child to demonstrate in reality.
