No Cheerleaders at Super Bowl! And Why the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders Were Left in the Cold
You might notice something missing from the sidelines of the Super Bowl 45. At today’s game you won’t see any pom poms, scantily clad ladies or hear the organized cheers of rah rah rah. Why? Because this year, the first time in the forty-five year history of the Superbowl Sunday that there hasn’t been cheerleaders. The main reason?
Because neither team has a regular cheerleading squad. The Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t had a cheerleading team for decades and the Green Bay Packers just use cheerleaders, a co-ed team borrowed from a near by college, for their home games. So this year there won’t be any hot cheerleader action to the dismay of many a lover of the female form and/or young girl who enjoys seeing the cheerleaders in action.
The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders offered up their services but their goal to appear on the field was denied since they aren’t affiliated with either team. Instead, they did some cheering outside their home stadium as part of the pre-game festivities.
Will you miss the cheerleaders this year?
