If you haven’t already gotten the memo, that wildly popular two-person indie band The White Stripes have broken up. This news really didn’t come as much of a surprise, but one that warranted a press release announcing the end of their era.

Jack White, he’s been busy. He also plays in the bands The Dead Weather, the Raconteurs and will be collaborating with Danger Mouse on a new project called Rome. He also has two young children (ages 3 and 4) at home. So, yup busy as the proverbial bee. But Meg Whitewhat’s she going to do now that the White Stripes are no more?

She hasn’t signed on to any other bands. Doesn’t have kids, although she did get married in 2009 to Jackson Smith (the son of Patti Smith and Fred “Sonic” Smith). And doesn’t have any typical side projects like a record label, clothing line or reality show. She’s had some issues with anxiety so touring has been problematic (even forcing The White Stripes to cancel a series of gigs). But she’s one talented drummer so hopefully this won’t be the last we’ll see of her!
