Update On Jimmy Buffett's Condition After Fall

Parrotheads everywhere were horrified to find out the news today that Jimmy Buffett had suffered head injuries and was rushed to the hospital after a fall off the stage at a concert in Australia. At 64 years old, Jimmy Buffett still has one of the most loyal followings of fans than any other singer.

New details have emerged about the accident and an update has been released on Jimmy Buffett’s condition. A spokesperson for St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney said, “Mr Buffett was brought to us at around 11.30pm on Wednesday evening.  His latest condition update is stable, although he is still under observation.” Jimmy is also said to be “responsive” with hospital staff, which is a good sign.

There is still no confirmation of how Buffett’s fall occurred, but chances are that he was either blinded by lights or lost his footing. Rumors of him “jumping into the crowd to shake hands with fans” seem unfounded to me. As a loyal Parrothead of almost 20-years, I’ve been to at least 10 Jimmy Buffett shows, and have never once seen him jump off the stage.

I know that I speak for Buffett fans everywhere when I say that I hope he has a speedy recovery and is back up and running soon. Margaritaville just can’t exist without him!

My thoughts and prayers are with Jim and his wife, Jane, and their three children, Savannah, Delaney, and Cameron.
