Remembering Jack Lalanne – How Old Was the Fitness Guru When He Passed?
Jack LaLanne – the fittest man in America – has died. Jack LaLanne was a fitness guru who spent 80 years helping Americans get in shape, get healthy and live longer. He was an icon. A model of physical fitness and a strong physique. He was called the “Godfather of Fitness” for good reason, practice what he preached and inspired countless weight watchers.
But all good things must come to an end. No matter how healthy you are, there is end. We’re all humans, and Jack LaLanne – even though he was a fitness god – was no exception. So how old was he when he died?
He was a whopping 96! His agent stated that Jack LaLanne died in his Morro Bay home from respiratory failure caused by a case of pneumonia. His wife Elaine LaLanne – who often appeared with him released a statement that said, “”I have not only lost my husband and a great American icon, but the best friend and most loving partner anyone could ever hope for.”
Hopefully he’s lifting weights somewhere in the afterlife, but his fitness message will surely live on forever.
