This is Kelly Preston’s first interview since baby Benjamin was born.
Having baby Benjamin has brought Kelly Preston and John Travolta a new sense of purpose, after the tragic death of their son Jett in 2009 at age 16.
Kelly Preston says that Benjamin is “peaceful and gentle” and talks about the healing gift of a new baby:
“It’s been wonderfully healing. Of course, you know, we still — it’s still every day. But it’s been, I think, a really nice gift for a lot of people throughout the world. We’ve gotten the most beautiful letters. And the most beautiful notes of happiness. And I think — just sort of a sigh of relief, a bit. And that’s been really nice to sort of share that with people.”
As for the risks with conceiving at an older age, Preston says, “I didn’t (consider this risks). I just considered that it was difficult… I think we’re just really happy that we’re so fortunate.”
Kelly Preston also talks about the Scientology silent birth, the practice of bringing a baby into the world in a peaceful, no stress way.
