Jennifer Hudson actually started her career with the Disney Wonder cruise line in 2003, before making her way to American Idol and becoming a huge star.
During the christening ceremony, Jennifer Hudson was announced as the godmother of the Disney Dream.
Jennifer said she wanted to add one more dream to the champagne bottle of dreams that would christen the ship: “Our new ship will make our dreams come true.”
Hudson performed a song on the Disney Dream before taking the lead on directing a helicopter that hoisted the giant champagne bottle – it was ceremoniously smashed against the side with a smaller bottle hanging from the side of the ship.
