Anne Hathaway will play Chris Colfer’s lesbian aunt on Glee! Hathaway joins the long list of celebrities who are lining up to guest star in the hit series.
The news that Anne Hathaway will have a guest gig on Glee was confirmed to UsMagazine.com by the show’s executive producer, Brad Falchuck. The Gleeks are very excited about Hathaway appearing on the show and Falchuck said it was Anne Hathaway’s idea.
Brad Falchuck told UsMagazine.com,
“It was her idea, and [with] someone like her, it’s sort of hard to say no!” Falchuck told Us at Sunday’s Fox Golden Globes after party. “We don’t generally get excited about guest stars just for the sake of guest stars, but when you have someone like Gwyneth [Paltrow] or Anne Hathaway, where you can say ‘They are amazing,’…they are big gifts to you.”
“Tonight, she and her agents made a deal,” Falchuck said. “She came over and talked to [Glee's creator] Ryan [Murphy] about wanting to come on the show. And there you have it!”
Anne Hathaway will play Chris Colfer’s lesbian aunt on Glee in a guest-starring role. CNN reports that the reason so many A-list celebs want to be on the show. CNN talked to Glee creator Ryan Murphy who said, “I think they support the show because it’s about the arts.”
