The Dilemma Review Round-up
“The Dilemma” opens in theaters today and has a star-studded cast: Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, Jennifer Connelly, Winona Ryder, Channing Tatum, and Queen Latifah.
Based on those names alone, this should be a good one, even if the premise of finding out that your best friend’s spouse is having an affair is a little uncomfortable. Let’s see what the critics are saying in “The Dilemma” reviews.
EW.com says: ”That’s a great story premise; it’s just not particularly built for laughs. But producer Brian Grazer and director Ron Howard are intent on keeping things light, even in the depiction of pain.”
The Huffington Post: ”But while this movie huffs and puffs a lot, it rarely produces anything resembling a truly funny moment.”
Moviefone: “This parade of misunderstandings and miscommunications could work if it were treated like the two-dimensional, just-for-laughs farce that it clearly wants to be. So why you gotta get all serious, movie?”
Like “The Green Hornet” reviews, it’s near impossible to find a critic who liked this movie. But, for those of us who just want to be entertained for two hours and don’t dissect our movies, we might still want to see “The Dilemma.”
Will you see this movie?
