Obama Speech Today: See the Full Text of the Speech at the Tuscon Shooting Memorial
Tonight, the nation watched President Obama’s Speech at the memorial for the victims of the Tuscon shooting.
President Obama seemed to want to give a message of hope and unity more than anything else, though he did spend some time talking about each of the victims. The memorial was held at the University of Arizona and the mood of the crowd was that of those who want to move past this tragic event. There was much cheering during President Obama’s speech. Not quite what I expected from a memorial service.
Perhaps there should have been a memorial service and then a separate press conference. Or maybe that is just me. Did you watch? What were your thoughts?
If you missed his speech, you can read the full text of President Obama’s speech HERE.
