Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal were one of the hottest hookups of 2011, but a source close to the couple is reporting that they have split. The insider says that the relationship ended last month…meaning December. Hmm…Taylor Swift definitely has a thing for ending her romances in that particular month, doesn’t she?
Though no reason has been stated for the Jake Gyllenhaal Taylor Swift break up, there’s a good chance that they didn’t last simply because they were an odd match to begin with. First of all, Jake is 30 and Taylor is only 21, so they are at different phases in their lives. Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal dating seemed to be doomed from the start.
Jake Gyllenhaal is probably ready for a more serious relationship than Taylor Swift, and is likely thinking about marriage and kids in the near future. Taylor Swift also seemed to be holding onto feelings for her ex-boyfriend, Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner. Maybe she isn’t quite over him yet?
Whatever the reason is behind the Taylor Swift Jake Gyllenhaal split, I seriously doubt that anyone will be surprised.
