Finally, Closure For Kristi Cornwell’s Family: What Happened?
The friends and family of missing woman nfinally has some closure. It’s a heartbreak end to her story, but an end none the less.
38-year old Kristi Cornwell of Blairsville, Georgia has been missing for a year. The former probation officer has been taking a walk right near her parent’s home when she disappeared. She had been on the phone with her boyfriend and she had mentioned that she thought a vehicle was following her, and then he heard the signs of a struggle…and that was the last she was heard from. Until now…
Over the weekend, about nine miles where she disappeared, Kristi Cornwell’s remains were found. Using dental records they were able to ID the bones that were discovered.
She leaves behind a 16-year-old son and a family who had put everything into trying to find her. But now her family can, hopefully, put some closure to this horrible situation. Her mother had recently said – before the remains had been found – that “I am not giving up hope, I have not been given any reason to believe she is not alive… it hurts my heart.”
