Yes, I am totally boycotting! I think Harry Smith, Dave Price and Maggie Rodriguez were a great morning show team. CBS has really made a huge mistake. Clearly they made no attempt to find out what viewers liked. Big mistake.

I haven’t watched since I found out about the firings. I will not watch. I tuned in for 2 seconds and got very sad. No offense to the new anchors, but I do hope the show crashes and burns without Harry, Dave and Maggie.

After 20+ years of watching their show I will become a Today Show viewer. See ya CBS!

Not going to watch The Early Show now that Harry isn’t on. He brought creditability and stability into our homes. Thanks Harry for all the years you gave us !!

Have already stopped. The executive producer is an idiot. Why can”t he see that its his lame content that makes the ratings go down, NOT the wonderful (former) anchors! GET RID OF THE PRODUCER, OR AT LEAST THE LAME CONTENT THAT HAS STUFF EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS BY COMMON SENSE OR BECAUSE THEY DO THE SAME SUBJECTS OVER AND OVER. Even Harry Smith has made comments during the segments recently indicating that he feels the same way- we already know the stuff in their lame segments!
I don’t need to watch the Early Show- I used to watch because I loved the family feel of the anchors, but, believe me, I can get my news elsewhere and there are plenty of other options for other things to do during that time slot!
I am definitely boycotting, and i mean business! I boycotted (completely cut off) The Tonight Show for what they did to Conan after having watched that show since i was a little girl in the 60s! The Early Show has lost me forever, unless (MAYBE) they get rid of the producer for a more intelligent one or the current one gets a brain. There’s no way we can get the former anchors back- they have moved on, including our beloved Maggie! Bye-bye Early Show! (I hope they Producer never gets another producing job again!)

It seems that after you turn 40, CBS no longer wants you.

I followed Dave Price from FOX News to CBS….thats says it all. Dave, Harry and Maggie are the greatest team….. All the best to you in the future. Huge mistake on CBS part…….switched to GMA…….

I really loved the old cast. Harry Smith being my favorite. I don’t watch CBS on weekends because I did not think the host were that great and now they are moving them to weekdays. I will not be watching CBS Early Show when Harry leaves. I will probably switch to the Today show.

Turned on the news this AM to get my typical morning update and thought it was strange that the weekend people were still there. “Maybe it’s because of the holidays” ran through my head until I saw this online. So sad! Harry Smith is fabulous and I think I’ll just switch around each morning until I find his face giving me the morning update…other networks should catch these 3 while they can because many out there are doing the same!

I will no longer watch The Early show on CBS – what for – Harry and Dave are gone. Guess Julie Chen’s husband gave her another job before getting rid of his best team……..So long CBS Early Show…..WPIX here I come!!

Harry Smith is my favorite media person. I love Maggie, too. Chris is okay, but no Harry! I don’t really like the other morning shows, but I can’t watch the Early Show without Harry and Maggie!

I’ve watched The Early Show every morning for years. That is changing, I will no longer be watching CBS. They are making a big mistake with the new line up.

I am saddened by the fact that CBS would fire those who have helped shape the morning show to what it is today. Everyone loves Harry Smith, and Dave Price what a joy to watch with his enthusiasm, and Maggie what a sweetheart! I have already stopped watching the show the day that Dave Price said his goodbye’s!!!!!!!!

Boycotting. Tell Maggie, Harry, and Dave good bye for me. And good luck. We’ll miss them. Wouldn’t it be neat if they got back together on a different network!

I know how it feels to lose your job. I lost my job this year following 27 years of service. Corporate America doesn’t reward folks for their hard work and dedication. I’ll miss waking up to Harry, Dave and Maggie. Their talents will be missed…already are! God Bless them! The Early Show won’t last without them.

I do not plan to continue watching the Early Show now that Harry, Maggie and Dave are gone. It was never about the ratings, it was about the integrity of the story. Harry, Maggie and Dave had integrity. The baby boomers are the ones that are still watching morning tv and CBS is putting on a bunch of punks that don’t relate. Oh well. I won’t watch cbs Early Show again, once Harry is gone.

Will miss all of them. We loved Harry on this show. I am retired now and
have watched the show for the last four years. Very disappointed in CBS. they made a very big mistake just like NBC did with Jay Leno. Looked forward to watching Harry every morning. I won’t be watching, I will try out one to the other networks. LOVE YOU HARRY!

I will not be watching anymore. In fact I have rarely watched since the announcement, for now Harry has been saving the show. After he is gone there will be no reason to watch. Does anyone know what has happened to Maggie. I hope she lands on her feet, I will watch her on her new show if I can.

Going cable. I can’t believe CBS made this move. Seems a little ridiculous to me, but what do the viewers know.

You have lost me.. As Dr. Phil said If you keep doing what you have always done you will keep getting what you have always gotten. It was not the people doing it, it was what they were doing . So the new people are not going to be any different,
Just different people doing, what people who are wrong, are telling them to do.
Wonder why no one complained like this when the Chinbot was removed? Think she had some inside info? Haven’t watched that new show either.

The show was only interesting with Harry on it. Erika Hill & Jeff Glor are incredibly bland and uninteresting. I’m definitely switching to the Today Show. It is the Today Show who will be the ratings winner of this horrendous personnel decison at CBS.

Maggie and Harry are (were) the best morning team on TV. CBS management has questionable judgment, at best. In the new year I will be watching George Stephanopoulos on ABC or Mike & Mike on ESPN2.

Of course I’ll watch. CBS didn’t make any mistake whatsoever. This is going to be awesome. I think people should actually watch the new team before they say bad things about anyone.

I, too, will be boycotting Early Show. The team of Maggie, Harry & Dave did not have anything to do with lower ratings. People over the years have been creatures of habit watching the Today Show and GMA, and they haven’t given Early Show a chance. Maybe the execs should have thought of a way to entice those viewers to give Early Show a try. That’s their job.
Maggie, Harry & Dave are paying the price for their poor managing the show.
There will never be another Dave Price personality. This guy cannot be replaced. That’s it. You can bring in a pretty girl, not the same. He was upbeat, entertaining and fun to watch. He was, by far, better than Al Roker, however, Al has brought in many fans to Today Show.
I will say that Erika Hill and Chris Wragge are wonderful, but when teamed up with the other three.
As much as I hate to see Harry and Maggie go, the BIGGEST mistake they made was Dave Price. The man is just a genius in front of the camera. He’s so much fun to start the day with. He cannot be replaced….PERIOD.
There is nobody on the new CBS Team that is going to draw the audience away from the other shows. I will miss my Early Show to start the day, but with Harry, Maggie and especially Dave, I will switch between the other two.
CBS….this was not the solution to the ratings situation.

For years I watched the Today Show but after Katie Couric left we switched over to CBS. We loved Harry, Maggie, and Dave and was shocked to hear what happened to them. We too will boycott and stop watching and try to find a replacement but it will be difficult. I think CBS has made a huge mistake and will find out that very soon. These people were all excellent at their jobs and we will miss them as they were like our morning family.

I found the camaraderie of The Early Show a welcome relief from other morning shows. Harry, Maggie and Dave were like friends catching us up on the current happenings. Harry, especially, appears outgoing and friendly, while other morning hosts seem to display arrogance and superiority. While the new co-anchors may do well in their new positions, I think CBS will never be able to re-capture what made The Early Show the favorite of a lot of fans. I know that I will turn to Good Morning America or CNN as my viewing choice now. I wish Harry, Maggie & Dave the best and hope they excel in their new careers. CBS will eventually realize their error, but probably too late.

I’ve been waiting for Maggie to be let go for awhile now! She was very crude when interviewing guests. Erica Hill is much more people friendly. Also, Dave was a smug goof ball who needed to be brought back own to reality. I like Jeff, but letting Harry go really does rub me the wrong way! I love Harry! I will still watch to support CBS, but maybe not such a big shift next time.

STUPID DECISION!! Does everything have to be YOUNG and HIP? Do you really think the demographic that you’re pandering to looks at TV? No, they get their news from their social networks! It’s the old farts like me who still look at the news on TV! It’s the old ones who remember Harry Smith from the first time who enjoy hearing him every morning. Well I’m going to another network, if I can find someone I can relate to. Someone who looks a little like me. I hated it when you got rid of Russ Mitchell, so I really won’t like the program when people you dump all the people I’ve developed a “relationship” with and look forward to seeing every morning. Does this have anything to do with Les and Julie? I noticed that she never came back to the show, even though they continued to carry her credits

Harry Smith is the best journalist on television and I am so disgusted about him and Dave Price. But the Maggie thing, for me made great sense. She was crude, overly familiar with Harry, self absorbed and seemed passive aggressive. She brought that whole show down, they terminated her immediately and she didn’t even get to say goodbye (unusual) and we are all paying by losing Harry Smith. Its only my opinion but lightweight and inappropriate Maggie destroyed this franchise.

My husband and I watched every morning and didn’t get anything done. This is an answer to the problem. We will no longer turn the TV on to watch the morning show without them. Harry, Dave and Maggie will be so missed although I do love it when Harrry is on the evening news. Don’t care for Katie and her whiny little girl voice it’s so annoying.

Super sad! So long Early Show– don’t take away my favorite 3 I look forward to them as I get ready for work.

I cannot believe that CBS has let Harry and Dave go from the show. There are no equals in morning television. What is CBS thinking? I can’t help but think that a year from now the ratings for the show will prove to CBS that they don’t have a clue. I can’t stand the morning shows of the other networks. I am done with CBS!

Does CBS spell job security- NOT! In trying to find the “right” combo for the Early Show the producer has failed. Get rid of him, not the entire show. I have watched the “new kids on the block” each weekend. They are good, but do not hold a candle to the Harry, Dave and Maggie treat each morning. I do mean treat, they showed professionalism along with a personal, warm touch that the other stations do not show! I, too am going channel surfing-back to Mike and Mike as the news channels have really changed to an all weather channel, Count the minutes devoted to weather! I’m sorry to see the changes CBS is making on the Early Show, and will change to Today Show on Monday morning. Harry, Maggie and Dave did a great job and for this fan, it will be a sad Monday morning. We have watched CBS for 30 years, but no longer. Hello 2011……

I’ll no longer watch The Early Show, with Harry Gone. I enjoyed the rest of crew, too, as they acted like professionals rather than donning the ‘fake celebs’ robe other casters seem to wear. We’ve so blurred the line between news and entertainment. Problem is, with Harry gone, I’m not sure where I’ll locate visual news. The Dumbing Down of American is ongoing.

I can not believe that Harry, Dave and Maggie are gone. For years we woke up with our CBS family. We will never watch CBS Early Show again as long as our News Family is gone. When Harry Smith spoke it was as if you were listening to a friend. Dave’s compassion for others could not be beat and his humor was so wonderful. Maggie’s kindness and warmth was so wonderful. I miss them all and will not be watching CBS Early Show. What were those producers thinking?????

I didn’t know the early show anchors were fired, just thought they were taking a vacation for the holidays, but I see you have made a very bad mistake letting them go. I walked into someones home early to find they were watching the news with a new anchor team no disrespect to the new team but we all love Harry and Dave, can’t see myself watching the CBS early show without them. Maybe they can go to the OWN and tell the news to some of the good old Southern people here in MISSISSIPPI.

I am so tired of personality driven, entertainment TV in the morning. I stopped watching the Today show after many years because of the feeling that the anchor’s personalities were more important than the morning news. It is painful to watch these legitimate newspeople and their morning antics!!
There was nothing more comforting than waking up every morning to the beautiful, articulate Maggie Rodriguez and the very real Harry Smith.
I will never watch this show. It looks like NPR and the internet will have to do from here on out.
I completely agree that CBS has misread their demographics. Young people do not get their news from morning TV!!

A lot of the news stations are changing up their crews. I don’t care for the
unprofessional casual style of news delivery many of the stations are offering
up. I take my news seriously and I looked forward to Harry and Maggie. I hope
they are moving on to exciting new challenges. I’ll will be watching for them.

We will definitely be switching. If CBS wanted to up their ratings, they picked the wrong way to do it!! Harry, Maggie and Dave were charming, articulate and entertaining and they are greatly missed!! I tried watching the new “crew” but they just don’t have it. There is no spark, they are lackluster newscasters and even duller than I expected. Erica is the only one who even stands a chance..the other 3 are not worthy of their current positions. I wish Harry, Dave and Maggie all the best and will be looking for them where ever they end up. Who ever snatches them up will be gaining some great talent. So long CBS Early Show…you really misread what the public wanted in the morning!

I am sooo boycotting the show from now on…sorry Erica-love you. I have been a loyal watcher for a while now but no more, sadly. You took my family away! Harry, Dave, and Maggie (as well as the rest of the team) have been there for me ito get my day started. It isn’t too often that this chemistry/magic is seen. Perhaps the change that should have been made (in the interest of ratings) was to the people making this decision…some how easier to blame others for your own problems. I missed the day they announced they were leaving and saying their goodbyes so I was shocked when I tuned in on the 3rd and they weren’t there. At first I was thinking “did everyone go on vacation?” Then I looked online and saw they had all been fired. CBS–big mistake! I tried to watch the new crew the last few days- just can’t get into it.I won’t switch to the others as I don’t like them either so now I will simply not watch early morning TV-hey that’s probably a good idea anyway!

When I first heard the news, I too was upset, but figured hey thats showbiz for ya. So I had decided to give the new anchors a chance. WHAT A JOKE? CBS did this switch to draw more viewers. So they picked bimbos and dorky (like to use other words) men. Mine as well watch Good Morning America.

I realize today, nothing will replace Dave Price, Harry Smith, Maggie Rodriguez or Julie Chen!!! I will no longer watch the Early Show. Harry Smith’s soft voice will truely be missed. Dave Price’s sense of humor, Maggie Rodriguez personallity and Julie Chen’s down to earch attitude will never be replaced and truely, truely missed.

Sorry to say, Yes, I too have stopped watching CBS in the morning. Maggie, Harry and Dave were a perfect fit. The new anchors are so boring. They don’t mesh like Harry, Dave and Maggie. I think CBS made a big mistake with this one.

The Early Show with Harry ,Dave and Maggie was the only morning show I have watched for the last 8 years.They were respectful to the subjects and to their guests; they told the stories better than anyone else and who can do weather like Dave? Now its CNN in the morning, I just can’t stomach the format of the other morning shows and some of those anchors are much too full of themselves to put on an informative program. Big mistake for CBS

What a shock to come back from vacation and not have my favoite morning show team. I miss them and will change to another channel now. I have tried to watch the new team for a week and it just isn’t the same. My best to Harry, Maggie and Dave. Who will we help home now?

It’s lat January and I truly miss the early show with Harry, Dave and Maggie.
Don’t like the new show and shopping for a new show! Change is always difficult so I tried to give the new show a chance but it doesn’t have the chemistry to keep this viewer . What a shame!

I enjoyed watching the Morning team (Harry, Maggie, Dave and Russ) every week-day. Dave was my favorite Weather Man. My list of things I like about Harry is too
long (he’s the man). To be fair I watched the new team, but I find myself changing
stations. They can’t keep my attention. I do like my local CBS team, but feel they
are getting short changed when I have to change the station. Hope you reconsider
putting them back on in the morning before it is to late.
