twitter logo 300x3001 Aretha Franklin Passed Away: Rumors on Twitter?There are rumors flying around the Twitter that Aretha Franklin has passed away.  The iconic singer, who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer is causing a lot of activity online but Aretha Franklin’s death has not been confirmed by any major news outlets or by any reps for Franklin.

The rumors are so rampant that currently on Google Trends, “Aretha Franklin dies” is in the top five terms being searched.  Please Tweet the message that Aretha Franklin’s death is a rumor to calm down the Twitter universe!

This is the latest Celebrity “death rumor” on Twitter. Charlie Sheen has been a victim of a Twitter death rumor with Twitter followers sending condolences to the star of Two and a Half Men. His ex-wife Denise Richards had to send a tweet to stop the rumor and tell everyone Charlie was alive and well.

TNA Wrestling executive Hulk Hogan has recently been pronounced death on Twitter, so you should take the news about Aretha Franklin with a grain of salt until this is confirmed by her publicists.  And let’s hope that the Queen of Soul is doing fine!
