Is there mail on Christmas Eve?

Is there mail on Christmas Eve? Or were those cards and presents delivered yesterday it until next week?

Christmas Eve is actually not a US Postal Service holiday, so there is still hope that those packages or cards that you sent can still make it to their destination in time for the Christmas holiday.

If you are looking to send out cards or packages today, you can still get that postmark today, though the chances are that they will not make it to their destination until mid-week next week. But, at least you can show your intention to get them there on time!

In case you are wondering, both FedEx and UPS are delivering today, too. This is one of their busiest delivery days of the year. But, even if you choose to use them instead of the Post Office, chances are that your packages will still be late.

Are you a last minute mailer or did you have all your cards and packages sent early?
