Happy Birthday to The Twilight Saga author Stephenie Meyer! December 24th is Christmas Eve but it’s also Stephenie Meyer’s birthday. Twilight fans all over the world are wishing a happy day to the woman who brought us Edward, Bella, Jacob, The Cullens, The Wolf Pack as well as the story of Twilight!
Do you think Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart got Stephenie Meyer a birthday gift? If they didn’t, they probably should since the Twilight Saga has made both of them international celebs.
This birthday girl also gives back to others. The Twilight Saga author has donated $1.5 million dollars to the American Red Cross International Response Fund. Proceeds from the book, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: an Eclipse Novella earned over $1.5 million to help the Red Cross, with $1 for each book sold in the U.S. from the first printing was earmarked for the American Red Cross. The donation was made last week. In a statement to the media, Meyer confessed that “It’s amazing to have the opportunity to help those so greatly in need.”
