Did you really write that Kristen Stewart is talented? Seriously? Let’s be real here, she is a horrible actress. Watch all her stuff and she is the same character in everything she’s done. She borrowed Molly Ringwald’s lip biting bit, which worked for Molly because Molly IS talented, but it doesn’t work for Kristen. Lip biting and eye crossing is not talent, sorry! She’s famous b/c her parents are Hollywood folks and that’s how she got her break. The rest is just really good marketing.

Logicalmama needs to get her/his (whateva it is) head out of the sewer and realiize Kristen Stewart is a top a talented actress and is proven around the world, end of story.

What’s the point in comparing their acting abilities…? They’re both good actors.
And why didn’t you mention The Runaways or Welcome to the Rileys, the last Kristen’s movies on theaters? She received great reviews because of those two movies.

Fortunately a lot of people disagree with you, including some of the best movie critics. So, yes, she wrote that Kristen is talented, get used to it, you’ll probably hear that a lot from now on.
I saw most of her movies and I think she’s an amazing actress.
And she’s not famous b/c of her parents, she’s famous b/c she’s talented. She got the part on twilight b/c of her previous movies, her talent was already recognized before twilight.
BTW you can give your opinion without being so harsh… you look a little jealous…?

totally agree with the article. i think they are both veryy talented and could both work in hollywood for as long as they want. much like brad and angelina, they are very different but work well both together and apart.

I believe you put it best. Kristen will probably continue to act and be a working actress for as long as she wants. Mostly because critics often confuse style with substance. Kristen has the kind of bratty, anti-establishment attitude that critics really love in the young and pretty. The charm of it wears away fast, at about tje same rate of wear that her looks will suffer if she continues to smoke and drink and do whatever else it is that she’s doing. She has some talent and some ability, if she could just get over herself enough to show some humility and some willingness to learn from others instead of believing she has all the answers.

Rob has the ‘it’ quality and that could take him far. He too needs to get over himself. They both show the arrogance of youth. He needs to develop his skills and, just like Kristen, stop all the partying. It’s really aging him. Of course, while Kristen’s looks are a benefit -as long as she’s young- Rob’s are a hindrance. Critics dismiss him as a ‘pretty boy’ and guys hate him out of jealousy and spite. So maybe there’s a plan behind all the chain-smoking and daily drinking.

I think Kristen is a better actress and has no interest in “star power.” So, she is right were she wants to be… Robert is good and getting better. He has the star power but isn’t relying on it lasting. I think they balance each other. Therefore, I agree with the article.

Im sorry to do this but I’m definately going with Rob. Now im not basing this on their acting abilities now because in my opinion both got a little ways to go before tjey reach their full potential. But wgo do I think has the most? Rob. He does have that “it” quality that could take him far in this industry. Their both still so young stop they have a few things to learn amd a few dues to pay before they could ever be Brad or Angelina. I think both have a very promising career if both dont let their private lives and all this Twilight hype overshadow their skills.

You took the words right out of my mouth Molly Ringwald and all… Kristen is the same character over and over…She is so predictable, and dull…Every since the Panic Room I have not liked her in any of the movies she has been in…I do watch the movies she is in trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, but she just seems to fall all over herself and never seems to put fourth real effort into the the part she plays…She never delivers that line where you go, oh WOW that was powerful…Also she was not the star of the Runaways, she needs to look up to Dakota Fanning who is amazing and was brilliant as Cherie Currie…On a positive note I think Kristen has potential to be a Rock Star…She has a sultry sexy voice, she’s angsty, moody, and she likes flipping people off…

As for Rob, once he gets away from the Twilight movies, and not acting with Kristen he will truly flourish…Thus far my fave movie of his is Little Ashes… I am extremely excited about Water For Elephants…I think he will surprise many people with his talent in this movie, and working beside Reese Witherspoon, and Christolph Waltz certainly will help him bring out his art…

Definitely Rob. Kristen CAN act, IMO. HOWEVER, I’ve only seen her playing that lost and tortured character. She’s good at it, but I think that’s all she can do. Rob has a much bigger variety, and I think he’s done almost each (if not every) character justice. So, conclusion, they both can act, but Rob has a wider range, which would, IMO, make him the better actor.

I think that they both have great potential. I thought that Kristen was horrible until I saw The Runaways & I thought that Rob was horrible until I saw Remember Me. My theory is that they are simply terrible together. There are too many eyes on them and it makes them uncomfortable on screen….it makes me uncomfortable to watch them. Their insecurities are just too blatantly obvious. They can both act…..I would just recommend that they do so apart.

Kristen Stewart has talent that flourishes only in small indie movies where she is part of an ensemble group where she is not the lead character in the story. No one will notice that she hasn’t really done anything to WOW the audience. She is professional, she can remember and deliver her lines, but at the end of the day, she plays each role the same way to the extent that you just see Kristen Stewart in the role of ____. Rob on the other hand? He disappears into the roles he takes on to the extent that when you watch his movies, you see the character and not Rob in the role of _____. He makes you believe he is the character. That is talent, that is what a good actor is supposed to do. Kristen plays it safe. She never gets out of her comfort zone to give us a performance that knocks our socks off and leaves us feeling that she is a great talent. She has talent, she just needs to stop being so full of herself that she is the hottest thing on the planet because of the explosion of Twilight. How far would Twilight have gone if they chose someone else for the role of Edward? He and the rest of the cast made that movie what it is, not Kristen Stewart.
