Did Reese Witherspoon actually hook up Jake and Taylor? And if she did…isn’t it kind of weird, considering that Jake Gyllenhaal is her ex-boyfriend?
Many reports insist that Gwyneth Paltrow was responsible for the big Jake Gyllenhaal Taylor Swift matchmaking success, but a source close to Reese Witherspoon says that she felt guilty for breaking Jake’s heart, and decided to play Cupid between him and Taylor Swift.
The source says, “Reese told Taylor that Jake’s a good guy who’s romantic and a lot of fun, but would never take advantage of her. Taylor then invited Jake to accompany her to New York where her friend Emma Stone was hosting Saturday Night Live. Jake and Taylor went to the show, had breakfast the next morning and spent a wonderful weekend together.”
Apparently Reese’s sheer bliss with new beau, Jim Toth, is what led her to wanting Jake Gyllenhaal to have true happiness as well.
Reese also supposedly told a friend that she hopes Taylor Swift is “the one for him.”
