The tale of how Frederic Thiebaud and Shania Twain got together reads like a dime store romance story or a plot from a soap opera. Their love story is complicated….to say the least. It includes lies, betrayal, divorce and in the end…love. So what’s their story?
It’s a pretty wacky one. Shania Twain had herself a BFF by the name of Marie-Anne Thiebaud. The Marie-Anne stabbed her best friend in the back by having an affair with Shania’s then-husband Mutt Lange. After 14 years of marriage, Mutt Lange abruptly left Shania to be with Marie-Anne. And Marie-Anne was married at the time too, to one Frederic Thiebaud.
Both Shania Twain and Frederic Thiebaud were left broken hearted. But they found comfort, of all places, in each other. They began traveling together and have spent the last year globetrotting. Plus Thiebaud has been there to help Twain and Lange’s 9-year-old son deal with his parents breakup. And now, Shania Twain and Frederic Thiebaud are totally and completely in love and are engaged. A friend of Twain’s said, ”She has ended up with the love of her life.”
It looks like this marriage switcharoo isn’t just for soap opera’s but happens in real life too. And it looks like this tale, well it has a happy ending.
