Eric Braeden is on Neil Patrick Harris’ naughty list, as NPH dissed Braeden on Twitter after the actor bailed on a role on How I Met Your Mother.

Eric Braeden, who stars on The Young and the Restless, was to play a guest starring role on How I Met Your Mother as Robin’s (Cobie Smulders) dad, but pulled out of the gig at the last minute.

Neil Patrick Harris was quick to diss Braeden on Twitter, posting: “Eric Braeden is a D-Bag. The actor, (Robin’s dad) agreed to a cameo, then last night bailed, saying the part wasn’t ‘substantial’ enough.”

Harris added, “We’ve recast with Ray Wise, a fantastic actor who makes any part ‘substantial’. Super excited to welcome him to the family!”

Eric Braeden has guest starred as Robin’s dad before in a 2008 episode.

UPDATE: Neil Patrick Harris posted an apology of sorts on Twitter later this afternoon: “Now I feel bad for the D-bag comment. Don’t know the guy personally. I’m just fiercely protective of our show.”
