Julie Andrews’ husband, Blake Edwards, passed away today at the age of 88 after complications from pneumonia. Julie Andrews and other family member were at his side when he took his last breath at St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California.
Blake Edwards is most well known for being the director of “The Pink Panther” and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Blake Edwards and Julie Andrews married in 1969, after they met on the set of the film, Darling Lili.
Julie Andrews and Blake Edwards adopted two daughters together in 1974 and 1975, Amy and Joanna. Both also had children from previous marriages.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Julie Andrews and all of Blake Edwards’ family and friends during this difficult time.
