kathy griffin vh1 239x300 Anderson Cooper, Kathy Griffin Team Up for CNN New Years EveAnderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin will team up to do New Year’s Eve coverage for CNN! The network announced today that the hilarious duo will ring in the New Year for the fourth straight year this Dec. 31st.  For reasons that are unclear, CNN is letting Kathy Griffin back on live TV.

It seems like Kathy Griffin is on a mission to embarrass Anderson Cooper and CNN every New Year’s Eve and she succeeds every single year. The funny but foul-mouthed Griffin gets another shot to entertain viewers and torture CNN execs with the 2010 New Year’s Eve broadcast.

Huffington Post reports Cooper said he was “terrified” to be hosting with Griffin again.

The quick-witted newsman said,”It’s often bitterly cold, and yet after being with her for a few minutes on live television, I find myself drenched in sweat.”

Kathy and Anderson’s New Years Eve shindig kicks off at 11 PM on Dec. 31st.  Kathy quipped to reporters about her New Year’s Eve hosting duties, saying ”The Most Trusted Name in News just got a whole lot more trusting,” Griffin said in a statement.

If you haven’t seen these two in action, watch the clip below. They are a good team, right?
