Today Show’s “Jill’s Steals and Deals” segment returned on December 14 with yet another round of fabulous savings and discount codes… and yes, websites were crashing yet again and their GPS offer sold out in minutes!

Here’s the rundown on the Today Show Steals and Deals for December 14:
World Port Seafood Prized Catch Collection – retails for $214.96, available with Today discount code TODAYSEAFOOD for $49.99.
Daniela Swaebe Necklaces – retail for $150, but available through the Today show deal for $30 with discount code TODAYGALA. The website crashed for this item, so the retailer is recommending people order via email.
Christine Price Handbags – retail between $299 and $329, but are available for $58 through Today show’s code TODAYBAG.
Aeropostale Belted Fur Trim Puffer Coat – retails for $99.50, but is just $25 through the Today show link – no discount code necessary. UPDATE: The puffer coat sold out, but Aeropostale is honoring a coupon for the sale price in stores.
Radio Shack originally offered a GPS product, but sold out of the 10,000 units in just minutes! They are now offering a Samsung Seek for Boost Mobile for $99.99.
Did you get any Today show steals and deals? I got the puffer coat and had no problem with the website or ordering – while some of these offers are a parent’s dream for the savings, it’s frustrating for those that can’t get through to the websites or when the items sell out.

As soon as the GPS deal was announced, I was on my computer ready to buy. I looked and looked for the GPS code but I couldn’t find it. Now after checking back throughout the day and finally reading the previous comments, I am totally bummed that the GPS was sold out before I even had a chance at it.

I was on the internet when they were announcing the deals and as soon as I got to the site for the GPS it was already sold out. So disappointing. Once before I tried for something and I couldn’t even get on the site at all. When I finally did they had sold out.

maureen albrecht commented on Jan 03 11 at 10:52 pmI too ordered a GPS, 2 purses and 2 necklaces on December 14th. I rec’d the GPS before Christmas and one of the purses too. Now I’m waiting for the other purse and two necklaces. I have sent e-mails to the companies and they say to be patient. I can wait, but I think they should wait top be paid too. Has anyone else had this problem?

I was informed that the order did not go through for some reason and there was nothing that Radio shack could do for me. I would not be upset for the fact that all the information was given for the purchase and if there was a problem I should have been notified and not just sit here waiting for the item to come.
Maybe so sort of committment from vendoe before being used on the Today show for deals should be require. They make the problem and consumer has to suffer

I ordered a ring and a poncho as part of the Today Show Deals and am still awaiting a response from Erin Annenberg and Vain Apparel. Both companies have already charged my card and are enjoying my money and NO RESPONSE regarding my purchase. I think this presents a REAL credibility problem for The Today Show to highlight these merchandisers an d have them take advantage of their fans.
It would be great to get some assistance from the Today Show in getting resolution to these problems!!

The week before Xmas I ordered a necklace from Isabelle Grace (or is it Grace Isabella) – it’s January 19th now, have received one message from them, a few weeks ago, telling them it will take at least another 5-6 weeks. This was not stated at time of purchase. Also bought a poncho week before Xmas from Vain Apparel – there was no indication at that time that it would be taking this long. Just got a message today that orders from the Today show will start shipping after Jan. 20th – may take 4-6 weeks. Really ridiculous. If I had known that, I would not have bought these items. It is a steal of a price, but the terms are “hidden” , no cancellation, no return, and by the time you get the items they are out of season, and they have had their Today show exposure. Shame on the Today show for not checking out the entire terms of the “deal”. Shady at best.

These turned out not to be such good deals, it was supposed to be a christmas present. needless to say I had to go out at last minute to purchase another gift..thought the TODAY SHOW would have done better with planning this to make sure the merchant had the merchadise..this is bad business for the TODAY SHOW..it was a STEAL ok.
Patricia Hager commented on Mar 02 11 at 8:44 amConcerning the purses ordered on 12/14/2010….I received an email on 2/25/2011 stating that the purses had been shipped and that I should have received my confirmation email and that I should be on the look out for my UPS tracking number….I have NOT received either….Honesty and good communication would go a long way here….They have their money and I am out $73.00 and have squat and untruths….Uggghhh !!!!

As of now I am out $70.00 and what a shock.. email account as well as phone number disconnected. I really want to let Jill know this-

By the end of the evening someone pointed out to me that the bag had rubbed off black all over my white dress. It wasn’t raining, so the bag did not get wet. It ruined an expensive white dress. Did anyone else have that problem?

These are the same sheets sold at the Covered Bridge Festival in Indiana for $15 a set. Having had a set of these a couple of years ago, I know from experiece these are THROW AWAY sheets. There is no fiber content, thread count, company name or contact information on them. These are terrible, even at this price. Whoever chose and tested this product for presentation on the program should be ashamed. The worst part is at the bottom of the invoice is “Orders from the Today Show’s Steals & Deals segment are FINAL SALES”. This segment should be eliminated from the Today Show. It is a ripoff.

I bought these for Christmas presents this year, and I’m getting a little concerned they won’t arrive in time. I hope Jill and the Today show are aware of what is going on!
Amelia Banal commented on Dec 28 11 at 4:26 pmI ordered the JF Handbag black tote from the Nov 22 steals and deals segment to this day have not arrive and my credit card already charge for the merchandise. Tried to call merchant and it’s just a voicemail and you can’t leave a message since mail box is full it seems everyone that ordered is calling and not receive the items they ordered as well. I do hope the show do something about this.
