News of a Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds’ divorce has us asking, first, why did Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson split, and second… doesn’t anyone in Hollywood stay together anymore?
While the specifics of their split are unknown, Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson have released a statement:
“After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”
Sources tell Us Weekly that it’s likely their busy schedules that caused Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson to split, as both are always busy with film projects that keep them separated.
A source tells Us Weekly that they “are being very civil about it,” and says the couple separated a couple of weeks ago.
The source blabbed that “the big problem with their relationship is the distance. They spent a lot of time apart when they are working…She’s been unhappy for a while.”
Ryan Reynolds had told GQ in September that Scarlett was “the best part” of his life. Ryan and Scarlett have only been married two years and have no children.
Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson had one of the most under-the-radar marriages around, as they were rarely photographed at events together and kept details of their marriage on the down low.
